Ready to Start Seeing Green?

With these mild March temps, now is the time to get a jumpstart on lawn weed treatments!

Nourish your lawn and eradicate pesky crabgrass before it starts with MaxLawn Crabgrass Preventer & Lawn Food. To prevent crabgrass from growing, and to keep your lawn weed-free, apply this pre-emergent herbicide between mid-March and late-April.

Spring is the only time to apply a granular Crabgrass Preventer. To be effective, the product must be applied before the ground temp reaches 55 degress. To check your local soil temps, visit the GreenCast Soil Temperature Tool.

*Do not seed or sod for 10 weeks after applying Crabgrass Preventer.

Once crabgrass is growing and established in your lawn, you will need to treat it with a crabgrass weed-killer spray.

Renew Your 2024 Cemetery Urn Service

We’re planning now for our 2024 Cemetery Urn services! We picked up cemetery pots this fall, and we have them safely stored for planting this spring! 

Thank you for entrusting us with your loved one’s graveside display! Pricing for the 2024 season is $74.95 and includes: Spring planting of your existing palm pot, urn delivery, and urn pick up in the Fall. For each additional planter going to the same cemetery, the fee is $47.00.

For $55, we will plant your cemetery urn, you would pick it up, and you would deliver it to your loved one’s cemetery site.

We also offer Winter Cemetery Services. Add a $40 Winter Wreath and stand to your loved one’s graveside or a $60 Winter Planter. Additional Delivery Fees Apply.

We will send invoices for the 2024 Cemetery Urn Services on March 1st, 2024. To change, cancel, or add to your Cemetery Urn Services for this year, please call us at 715-485-3131 and press option 1.

Snow or no, join us Saturday, February 3 for the annual Balsam Lake Snowshoe 5K Trail Race.

This is a fun, family winter activities for people of all ages! All are invited to participate, including your furry friends!

The registration fee is $25, if payment is submitted before 01/27/24. All proceeds go toward the improvement of Pine Park.

Race Details: Registration will begin Sat. Feb. 3 at 9am, race will start at 10am. Door prizes will be available for pre-registered applicants only. All participants will receive a goodie bag on race day at check-in. The race begins at Pine Park, follows a designated trail route through the beautiful wooded areas

surrounding Balsam Lake, and ends on the Mill Pond, if trail conditions permit. An alternative route will be established if we do not have snow. Water will be provided before and after the race.

Prizes will be available for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Women’s and Men’s Division. Specialty gift bags will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Kid’s Division.
